Tree tomato information?
Has anyone ever tried growing the tree tomato as seen on TV? Is it worth it? Are the tomatoes as good as regular tomato plants? From what I can find on google, they are not the same as regular tomatoes. Your thoughts?

You germinate them just like tomatoes except that they have a tendency to dampen off. Mine are about a year old, 4′ tall and beginning to branch. They like more of light shade than Tomatoes do but the culture is about the same otherwise. I’m in Southern California
Zones 10b Sunset 23/24 and grow them outdoors. They really cant take a freeze and being waterlogged can kill them. There is a great culture page for the Tamarillo at http://www.crfg.org
