Sexiest Halloween Costume For Women
One of my favorite characters from the Batman comics and films is Catwoman. It’s a fantastic costume for Halloween because black cats have long been seen as familiars of witches and are associated with evil, the occult and bad luck in general. Catwoman just looks so sexy in her black cat suit and mask. Is she sexy in spite of the fact that she is a villain or because of it? If the thought of dressing up as Catwoman makes you want to purr, here are some tips.
The Costume
If you want to be Catwoman then you have to dress like her. For me there are three memorable Catwomen. Eartha Kitt is the first that springs to mind: she played Catwoman in the TV series in the sixties. Her trademark was a growl-like purr. She wore a tight black all-in-one cat suit, and eye mask and a cat-ear head band.
The second is Michelle Pfeiffer in the 1992 film, Batman Returns. Here we see her transform from being a quiet and shy secretary into the sexy and evil Catwoman after her boss tries to kill her. She wore a cat suit made of black latex with distinctive molded rubber stitches. It was definitely very sexy! The design came from Syren Couture, a leading latex high fashion studio. The costume was designed so that it would fit Ms Pfeiffer like a second skin and allow her to kick, jump and perform her amazing acrobatics. This particular catwoman costume was auctioned in 2009 and sold for an incredible $8,260. This was the highest amount for a single outfit.
The final Catwoman that sticks in my mind is Halle Berry in “Catwoman” (2004). The movie didn’t get very good reviews but I loved the costume. A lot more revealing than both Eartha Kitt’s and Michelle Pfeiffer’s costume, it certainly didn’t leave much to the imagination. Made of black PVC vinyl, the costume consisted of a cleavage revealing black bra with large straps that crossed over in the front and attached to a belt and low-rise black pants with what looks like cat scratches down the front and back. To complete the outfit she had a hooded cat-ear half mask and long gloves with claws.
Move like a cat
Now that you are dressed like Catwoman, you have to start acting like one. There are many words we can use to describe how Catwoman should act such as sexy, slinky, sly and cunning, but she always moved with graceful ease, just like a real cat. Make sure you purr and meow as much as you can.
