Ok, here’s something for you – this diet, the Ice Cream Diet, is an approach where you can enjoy your ice cream, every day, and still manage to lose weight. Of course we’re skeptical about this because we all know ice cream is probably the first thing given up during a diet. We saw this and wanted to get down to find out if the Ice Cream Diet is a cruel joke, or if it’s something that’s real.
The saturated fats come from animal products. With this diet you can devour ice cream as well as cheese, meat and fish. You need some amounts of saturated fat to be healthy. Follow the recommendations of the ice cream diet to avoid over indulging in saturated fat with this otherwise low calorie diet. The Ice Cream Diet may be a healthy alternative to the conventional diets.
The use of Ice Cream is a way to make the diet a tolerable alternative. However, the fact is that ice cream itself may help you to lose weight because of the calcium it contains. When calcium is lacking the signal to the fat cells is, we need more fat. Consuming calcium helps the body burn fat more efficiently. Calcium supplements are always an option, but calcium rich foods are better for you. Regular exercise is recommended no matter what diet you are on.
As you may already have figured out, it doesn’t matter if you include ice cream in this diet or not. This diet has fairly standardaily calorie targets that keep men under 2000 a day and women 1500 a day. Then you will combine that with exercise on a regular basis. Theoretically, if you wanted to you could eat your daily limit in ice cream, but who wants to do that? So when you think about it; when you do the exercise and restrict your calories like that; then it really doesn’t matter about the ice cream, or chocolate, etc. It’s just a marketing approach to mention, and include, ice cream in this diet.
You’ll need to take positive action every day, but the Ice Cream Diet is a unique approach that most certainly will work, if you do. However… please do not sabotage your efforts by eating more ice cream than the book suggests. Ok? The attraction of this diet is the daily ice cream breaks things up, gives you a little something each day, and you won’t feel like you’re in boot camp, or wherever.
