Top 4 Cute Dell TV Ads
Dell has launched a number of TV ads to promote its products over the years. Some Dell TV ads are nice and sweet, some are true attention-getters, while some feel too cheesy or boring. But no matter how good these Dell TV ads were, they certainly did their job of bringing awareness of Dell products to the public.
Here are some of the cute commercials of Dell printers manufacturer that we have seen on TV.
“Thanks for Calling Dell”
This short but bubblegum-y Dell TV commercial aired on British television and featured the Dell Dimension 3100 model. In this ad, a father called up Dell ordering a computer. As he and the Dell phone rep discussed the specifications of his order – which highlighted the main features of the Dimension 3100 – we see a computer being built on an assembly line exactly according to the specifications given by the customer.
One would wish that we can get that level of customized service from any computer manufacturer, or that customer service agents are really that friendly in general. This Dell commercial deserves to be called cute for all the warm and fuzzy feelings it evokes from its watcher, but that is all it is.
“Company Picnic”
This commercial of Dell kind of resonates with people who are, in one way or another, disgruntled with their computers. With Tablet PCs, in fact.
So there was this group of guys who gathered around someone’s backyard and hung a Tablet PC like a piñata. In the center of the yard was a blindfolded guy who kept waving a golf club about as he tried to hit the Tablet PC. When the golf club connected with the said gadget, the guy removed his blindfold and just kept hitting at the Tablet PC until the poor thing was totally smashed and smoking. Dell ended that commercial with “You’ve shown us. We listened. The frustration ends when XT arrives.”
“Out with the Old”
The “Out with the Old” commercial for the XPS One is yet another one of those Dell TV ads that somehow appeal to our innate destructive tendencies. In this TV commercial, we see a slim and lovely Dell XPS One in black, sitting on a pedestal. Around her are old and boxy computer models, some with CRT models. As the song “Que Sera Sera” plays with a very slow tempo, the old computers explode around our lovely new baby.
It can be cathartic to watch this commercial. Enough said.
“Engine”
This Dell TV commercial has got to be the best of them so far. A group of hot ladies with Attitude (capitals for emphasis) are shown working in a somewhat sterile room, building an engine. Once done, they load this engine in an XPS M1330.
Lovely ladies, no nonsense, rock and roll music, and a sexy notebook. Of all the Dell TV ads we have seen so far, this one is for the win.
