How to address her temper tantrum over a reading light?
So I walked into the living room earlier where my dad and his gf of 11 years was watching tv and my dad told me he took my reading light and put it in his gf’s lamp. I asked where I could get another one because my room is very dark without it and he said I’d have to wait until after easter vacation after joking with me about it, while his gf kept on saying wait until after easter. I said I need the light to read and see and can’t wait til after easter (as I was pouring my coffee) and his gf had an unexpected temper tantrum, tore the light out of the socket and sat under a different lamp in the living room. I sighed and went back to my room leaving the light bulb in the living room. Then his gf came in my room and said ‘u forgot this’ and threw it on my bed. So I ignored her and found when they went to bed, the original light bulb in the living room worked after all. how can I tell my dad or his gf that i’m an adult and refuse to be treated this way?
With both of them in the room. Tell them. Address the temper tantrum saying what you told us. Do it with both of them TOGETHER.
