Christians if tv doesn’t cause you to stumble is it ok to watch?
I’ve been reading a few books where it says that TV is bad because you dwell on what you see, or it takes up too much of your time.
I avoid shows that have twisted violence or adultery. Those things repeat in my head and haunt me.
I watch shows like Psych, LOST, Bones, Burn Notice and I don’t dwell on them. Sure every one of those shows have a sin. Such as lying that you’re a psychic when really you’re just perceptive(psych) or going undercover and using violence to bring justice(Burn Notice).
These shows don’t cause me to stumble because they don’t haunt me like Desperate Housewives or Misery(old horror movie) would.
So if they don’t cause you to stumble it’s alright to watch them? And you don’t care if you miss them because Tivo records them anyway? And would it make a difference if I fasted from tv for a month?
