What are oven liners made from?
I was give an oven liner for Christmas and it’s a Betty Crocker brand made by www.telebrands.com AS Seen on TV. It says no where on the packaging what material it’s made from and can’t find anything on the web about its construction. It is very thin. I will not use any Teflon products in my oven, due to the release of PFOC toxins. I’m slowly converting all my cookware to glass or stainless steel.
Most, oven liners are made of silicone. They can withstand high heat and are very durable. I’ve been told that the difference between the teflon and the silicone is the flexibility. If it is very flexible then it is made of silicone, and if not it’s the teflon. I hope this helps you out. Have a great day and keep using www.yahooanswers.com
