how to make an omlette?

Microwave-heat just doesn’t do egg dishes very well though (one of the few things it can’t do well), but the omelets will be edible and could save maybe a minute** over cooking the regular way in a slope-sided (“omelet”) pan.
Here’s what I wrote in a previous question about what I like to put in my omelets and how to cook them (people differ):
…”mire poix” combination (minded onions, shredded carrots, thinly-sliced celery) salted a bit, then precooked in microwave few minutes till almost done
…add some butter to an 8″ omelet pan on medium heat, allow to begin to bubble
…pour 2 beaten eggs (with salt/pepper, but no water or milk added to eggs for me!) into butter and allow eggs to set somewhat
….add pre-cooked veggies to one half of omelet
….then add shredded cheddar/jack cheese
….flip over in half when almost all egg is set (like my exterior somewhat golden brown)…may have to reduce heat a tad depending on your pan/stove settings

**I take that back after checking out the instructions…looks like this microwave method would actually take longer and be more fiddly than the regular pan method
