why does my tv screen stay black when i turn it on?
I have a 57″ mitsubishi tv that is about two years old, it was working fine last night but now when i go to turn it on the screen stays black, i cant see or hear anything. The power light comes on as if they tv came on but then it makes a cranking like sound.
When i moved the TV from the wall there’s a flashing light, i think its a bulb but not positive but that is whats making the cranking type sound. It only happens when the TV is on.
The bulb is out. The “cracking” sound is the ballast trying to strike the lamp. You didn’t put the model so I can’t tell you a part number. It should be in your owners manual near the end.
