Luckier still to have that one TV with only one channel. Good ol’ Doordarshan. So, I might have had doubts about which career to choose, which job to take up, which girl to marry (hope my wife isn’t reading this!), but I never had any doubts about
‘which is the best TV show in the world’
. I simply loved Karamchand.
Blame my love for fun and thrill – but that dude Karamchand, master of all detective dramas, was my role model in those days. Karamchand with a gaajar in his mouth and secretary Kitty hovering around (remember, “Kitty don’t be silly”?) would solve any and all deadly mysteries. Murder an ant and he would know. That smart.
A spy with a killer mind, long overcoat and above all, great secretaries and really great gizmos was exactly what I wanted to be (and what my Dad did not let me be). I was so sure about what my spy name would be and who my secretary would be. (Really hope my wife isn’t reading this!)
But the only thing that I was unsure about was ‘which gizmo was the best gizmo in the world?’ There are like a million gadgets scattered everywhere. A mindblowing huge variety. That’s why I was never sure, until I saw the ’2GB Spy Pen with Audio+Video Recorder and Pen Drive.’
A pen with a tiny inbuilt Spy Camera lens situated right above the pen clip. On pressing the top, a blue light (which no one else can see) flashes on and the recording begins. Even Karamchand would have failed to detect this one. Besides hi-spy wannabes like me, Spy Camera Pen can be used by absolutely any normal person. Record meetings, document important conversations, for home security or just like that.
All you do is – place the pen in your front pocket and record everything in front of you in full colour and voice! The Spy Pen with audio/video recorder has a microphone hidden under the pen clip.
This pen writes. So if your boss is one of those techie-pen-freaks – gift him this one. And get a raise. Karamchand would have loved it. It’s the wackiest camcorder I’ve ever seen. And my advice to all those who, like me, still have a dream – the James Bond dream – Spy Pen will (secretly) serve you right!
