How do I get the files on my external hard drive to show up in iTunes again?
I’m on a G4 Mac, running 10.5.8. A year ago I copied my iTunes onto an external hard drive that is always connected to my computer as I’ve exceeded the capacity of my hard drive. Last night, I got some error message saying something was damaged. (I don’t remember what.) Now, iTunes has lost ALL of my playlists (including the ones I had before the external hard drive) and anything I have downloaded over the past year (but still has the music and TV shows I had over a year ago). I copied the “iTunes” folder on my original hard drive into a new “Music2″ folder I created on my external hard drive and moved all of my music and video files into it. I tried holding down the option key when starting up iTunes and clicking on “Choose Library”, but everything downloaded in the past year is still missing. I can see the files I’ve downloaded in the Music folder when I look through the folder in the Finder, but they’re not showing up in iTunes. Please help!
try converting them for itunes again. Maybe something changed in the converting since last year.
