Can Kimbo Slice defeat Forrest Griffin or Chuck Liddell?
I saw Kimbo Slice fight James Thompson on MMA’s network TV debut on CBS (May 31, 2008). With all due respects to Mr. Slice, but Thompson made him look like an amateur on several moments in that fight.
As a matter of fact, if not for Thompson’s freakish ear popping like a pinata, who knows what could’ve happened?
I mean, if not for his ear he might have upset Slice. Why would Thompson even go in the ring with his ear looking like that?
Kimbo Slice has got a lot of strength and a big heart, no doubt about that. But it looks like he still needs more training on how to deal with opponents in the octagon and on the mat.
Forrest Griffin has trained all of his life in fighting in the ring. As we have seen in previous fights, Griffin has the skill, knowledge, and determination to battle with anyone inside the octagon.
So, do you think that Kimbo Slice right now has the skill necessary to out match someone like Forrest Griffin or the other experience cage fighters?
We all seen Kimbo exposed in this fight. He doesn’t have enough experience on the ground and he have probably securing a submission hold.
He is very very inexperienced right now. He has a ton of power and allot of heart but he needs more training and more experience. This is no different than any other new fighter to MMA.
He won’t be able to beat Griffin.
He will only beat Liddell if LIddell tries to box him. If Liddell uses kicks or grappling, then Liddell would win.
