Getting ready to get a flat screen TV…..why all the differences in price?
I really only want a flat screen because it is going to show from the back when you are walking in the front door. Don’t be a wiseacre, there is no place else for it!
OK, so now I have a 36 inch projection, which would be fine, except it looks like a freight train from the back (into the guest room with it)
Now, I have seen a good replacement for anywhere from 400 to 800 dollars. What up with that?
I have poor color vision, wear contacts, don’t play video games, just want to watch TV. Is it worth it to spend the extra? Is it going to last twice as long, keep me company on cold nights?
Or should I go low end, and in five years, chuck it and buy the new one that plugs directly into your brains HDMI or USB version 1002.78?
(and probably spend 12-14 dollars for it. You don’t GET to know what I paid for the projection eight years ago!!)
Asking what’s up with all the different prices is kind of like asking what’s up with all the different prices of cars. They all have four wheels, an engine and transmission right?
So why does a Ford cost less than a Lexus?

If you are not a picky videophile, don’t worry too much about the techno jargon.
Get the cheapest, 1080p 40 inch LCD you can find, and enjoy it. I saw one at best buy like two weeks ago, by proscan, that size and resolution, it was 499.
