What is your opinion of YA users who report children’s questions to the Military?
Last night my 10 year old asked a question to the Soldiers, wondering what they were going to do for July 4th, and what they were going to eat, if they were going to BBQ, do their own fireworks, or go and see some. He added that he wished them a Happy Independence Day, and to stay tough, and he thanked the Troops, as well, in the question details.
He mentioned he was going to watch some soldiers on a TV Game show, so he wanted to hurry, so he wouldn’t miss it.
Underneath this, I added an explanation of the game show, said Happy 4th, God Bless, and that we love the Troops in ()<--.
My son got 13 answers, but never got to pick a best. He was disappointed and upset.
There were 3 answerers who were very rude, and against the Troops, so one of them most likely reported it for chatting.
Anyway, what are your thoughts? Do you think a child should not be allowed to include a greeting, and well wishes along with a question to the Troops? Was my son wrong to do so? Is Happy 4th bad?
